Our April meeting was held on Sunday the 7th at the Lookout Fire Hall. Each year 4-H clubs are required to have Science and Technology meeting.
This year, we were fortunate to have three guest speakers from the University of Scranton talk to us about Forensic Chemistry. Allison Rosengarden, Devin Bell and Annalise Diodato (all Forensic Chemistry majors) presented a talk on finger prints and how to detectives “lift” them from objects at a crime scene.
Members were able to take and study their own unique fingerprints with their guidance. Next, members experimented with fingerprint lifting from glass bottles and photo frames. They were able to keep the “evidence.”
During the months of April and May, the club is collecting donations for Kate's Wish Chemo Care Bags and also donations for the Odd Fellows Soldier Care Packages.
On Sunday, April 14th Easter Baskets were made and delivered to local shut-ins and elderly. The club also made over 80 Easter cards for the residents at Ellen Memorial in Honesdale.
