Honesdale, PA – Lewis J Critelli, President and Chief Executive Officer of Wayne Bank, is pleased to announce that the Bank will support Honesdale Communities That Care in 2019 with a donation through the Educational Improvement Organization Program.

Honesdale Communities That Care Executive Director, Richard Palazzo, accepted a check in the amount of $10,000.00 from Mr. Critelli.

The gift was made possible as a result of the Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program offered by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, acting through the Department of Community and Economic Development.

“We are so pleased to continue our support of Honesdale Communities That Care,” stated Mr. Critelli. “The program is a wonderful resource for local families and has a positive impact on the participating students.”

Honesdale Communities That Care is a non-profit, after-school enrichment program that has been in operation since 1995.  The program develops and implements strategies that encourage healthy behavior and productive interaction amongst youngsters and all members of the community.  Available to children throughout the duration of the school year, from 3:00 until 5:30 pm, it provides a safe environment where students can develop positive social skills, while playing and interacting with their peers.  The daily schedule includes supervised play, fresh air, a snack, homework help, crafts, and intramural sports.  For more information, please visit http://www.honesdalectc.com/ .
