The Wayne/Pike Farm Bureau donated the FARMtastic book of the year, “The Tree Farmer” to all public libraries in Wayne and Pike Counties.

Written by Chuck Leavell and Nicholas Cravotta, the book tells the story of a grandfather, owner of a tree farm, who shows his grandson the vital role trees play in our lives. As they are responsibly tended and grown, they provide the wood for our homes, furniture, musical instruments and more.

The FARMtastic book program was started by the PA Farm Bureau's State Women's Leadership Committee in order to provide ag-accurate books to public libraries and elementary schools.
