HONESDALE – The Board of The John and Helen Villaume Foundation has announced that the Wayne County YMCA has been selected to receive one of the Foundation’s 2017 community grant awards.
Tina M. Hoehn, Executive Director, on behalf of the Wayne County YMCA, received a check in the amount of $7,500.00 from Villaume Foundation board members Lewis J. Critelli and Paul Edwards.
Wayne County YMCA is a non-profit agency serving Wayne County for over 37 years.
The YMCA offers programs not only at its facility located on Park Street in Honesdale but throughout Wayne County as well.
The YMCA focuses on youth development, healthy living and social responsibility and programs are offered for all ages - from preschool to senior citizens. Financial assistance is available to those in need.
The funds from this grant will be used to expand program offerings to include more play for adults and families adding 2 afternoons a week and a Sunday Family Time with structured play.

The John and Helen Villaume Foundation established by Honesdale natives, John and Helen Villaume, is dedicated to benefit charitable, religious, scientific, literary and educational programs within Wayne County.
