WAYNE COUNTY – Three unrelated fires, including one that was intentionally set, are being investigated by the authorities.

The arson blaze happened after 1 a.m. Thursday at an empty storage barn along Savitz Road in Salem Township.

No injuries were reported at the property owned by the Froland family, according to a state police fire marshal unit.

There were no utilities to the barn.

In a separate, accidental blaze, a field and several old parked cars were scorched along Creamton Road (Route 247) in Mount Pleasant Township.

That fired started at 3:11 p.m. March 21 when a member of the Seana family was burning garbage in a barrel, state police said. The fire got out of control due to wind gusts and burned the field and vehicles.

No injuries were reported.

The third blaze happened at 10 p.m. Wednesday along East Shore Drive at the Paupack Lake Estates in Paupack Township.

No one was home or injured during the blaze at the seasonal residence of the Litwin family.

The cause of that blaze is under investigation.

Anyone with information on any of the cases is asked to call the Troop R Fire Marshal Unit at (570) 963-3156.
