MILFORD - Pike County District Attorney Raymond J. Tonkin announced the following criminal sentences were issued by Pike County Court of Common Pleas Judge Gregory Chelak:
Brandon Mark Bradley, age 19, of Greentown, was sentenced to 48 hours to 6 months in the Pike County Jail, fined $500 and had his driver’s license suspended for 12 months for the crime of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.
The Pennsylvania State Police were dispatched to a private development in Blooming Grove Township to assist Public Safety who had Bradley’s vehicle stopped.
Bradley admitted to having a few beers prior to the traffic stop. A Field Sobriety Test was administered and a breath test confirmed a blood alcohol content of .040%.
Carl Daniel Fiorito, age 40, of Dingmans Ferry, was sentenced to 120 days to 12 months in the Pike County Jail, followed by 6 months of probation and fined $1,100 for the crimes of Simple Assault and 2 counts of Harassment.
On September 8, 2014, the state police were dispatched to a residence in Dingman Township for a domestic situation.
Fiorito, during an argument, struck his girlfriend in the face. While Fiorito was being placed in the patrol car, he spit at the trooper twice.
George William Handelong, age 36, of Hawley, was sentenced to 58 days to 1 year in the Pike County Jail and fined $750 for the crime of Theft from a Motor Vehicle.
On September 17, 2014, Handelong took a camera, purse, wallet, a check and personal I.D. cards with a total value of approximately $559.98 from a vehicle parked outside of a business in Matamoras Borough.
Fred Alfred Elders, age 54, of Greentown, was sentenced to 30 days to 6 months in the Pike County Jail, fined $750 and had his driver’s license suspended for 12 months for the crime of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.
On June 25, 2014, Elders was pulled over by the PA State Police along Roemerville Road in Greene Township for erratic driving. Elders admitted to the trooper that he had been drinking prior to the traffic stop.
A breath test confirmed a blood alcohol content of .117%.
Mason Michael Smith, age 20, of Sussex, NJ, was sentenced to 1 month to 6 months in the Pike County Jail, followed by 6 months of probation, fined $500 and had his driver’s license suspended for 6 months for the crimes of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
On August 18, 2014, the state police were dispatched to assist security at a development in Lehman Township where three individuals were being detained for possibly burglarizing an abandoned residence.
Upon speaking to Smith and the other two individuals sitting in his car, the trooper detected an odor of marihuana and observed suspicious behavior of Smith who was trying to conceal a black bag on the vehicle floor.
A search of the bag revealed 4.25 ounces of marihuana, an electronic scale and empty glassine bags.
Cindy Ann Klein, age 52, of Dingmans Ferry, was sentenced to 16 months to 47 1⁄2 months in a state correctional facility, fined $2,700 and had her driver’s license suspended for 18 months for the crimes of 2 counts of Theft by Deception, 2 counts of Retail Theft, 2 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance and 3 counts of Delivery of Controlled or Counterfeit Substance.
Three times between January and March of 2014 Klein was caught taking items from various retail stores in Westfall Township and returning the items for cash.
On one occasion in in June Klein took $302.94 worth of items and dropped her wallet on her way out of the store.
The wallet contained her identification and 6 packs of heroin. In March of 2014 she sold Heroin and Oxycodone three times to undercover agents.
In June, Klein was stopped by the state police for driving on an expired license. She was found in possession of 2 bundles of Heroin.
Joseph Lisco, age 22, of Bushkill, was sentenced to 6 months of probation anf fined $300 for the crime of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
On May 9, 2014, the state police stopped Lisco’s vehicle for traveling with a headlight out.
Upon speaking with Lisco, the trooper detected the smell of marihuana. Lisco admitted to having smoked prior to the traffic stop. Lisco was found in possession of marihuana and rolling papers.
Ledora Drayton, age 51, of Monticello, NY, was sentenced to 6 months of probation and fined $300 for the crime of False Identification to Law Enforcement Authorities.
On February 26, 2009, Drayton was observed swerving to miss a pedestrian in the crosswalk on Pennsylvania Avenue in Matamoras Borough. Drayton provided a false date of birth to the police officer when asked for identification.
Bobby Deamon Taylor, age 35, of Pocono Summit, was sentenced to 1 month to 6 months in the Pike County Jail, followed by 6 months of probation, fined $200 and had his driver’s license suspended for 36 months for the crimes of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol or a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Small Amount of Marihuana and Driving While Operating Privileges Suspended or Revoked.
On April 1, 2014, the state police stopped Taylor for speeding on I-84 in Palmyra Township.
While being interviewed by the trooper, Taylor exhibited behavior consistent with someone under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Taylor admitted to consuming alcohol and marihuana prior to the traffic stop. A blood test confirmed the presence of Cocaine and THC.
Jennifer Ann Stangl, 33, presently incarcerated in the Pike County Jail for Retail Theft, was sentenced to 2 1⁄2 months to 5 months to run consecutive to her 8 1⁄2 month to 23 month sentence and was fined $200 for the crime of Furnishing Drug-Free Urine.
On September 16, 2014, while on probation for the Retail Theft sentence, Stangl tested positive for opiates and was transported to the Pike County Jail where a metal detector revealed the presence of a bottle containing urine hidden in her abdomen.
