HAWLEY - Memorial donations and gifts received by the Hawley Public Library during 2014 have been announced by Margot Adams Clauss, president of the Library’s Board of Directors.

The late Margaret George and the late J. Richard “Dick” Hunter head the list of those in whose memory donations were made.

Mrs. George was remembered by Bill and Joyce Carson, Constance Sanford, Paul and Sandy Meagher, Jo Porter and Bruce Bergethon, Dick and Mary Anne Teeter, and Jeffrey P. Minehart, Judge, Court of Common Pleas, 1st Judicial District of Pennsylvania.

Memorials in Mr. Hunter’s name came from Stephen Trudell, Bill and Thelma Dewar, Alice Ehrhardt, Fairview Lake Association, Joan Nilsen, Fred Schoenagel, and Dick and Mary Anne Teeter.

The Section Six Property Owners Association remembered with donations both Hunter’s wife Margaret Hunter and Robert Mills.

Donations in memory of Kathryn A. Franklin came from Wendy and Gene Krause, Dick and Mary Anne Teeter, Barbara White, and the Wallenpaupack Area High School and Staff.

Hawley Borough and Karen and Charlie Lutz gave memorial donations honoring the late Barbara Smyth.

The Fairview Lake Association remembered the following with donations: Thomas Adams, Art Medaugh, Joan Putney, Kay Rice, Don Scott, Dorothy Wicks and Orville Wickstrom.

Those in whose names memorials were given by Joan Nilson include James McGinty, Solveig Spuhler and Gene Tagle.

Memorial donations were made by Will and Ann Mount in the names of: Janice Fuller, Elsie, James Kempinski, Gary Lamson, Susan J. Mount, Bob Ohlson, Joan Peters, Steve Schure and Sandy Trail.

Others remembered with donations include Edward Drake by Shirley B. Gumble, Carolyn Guinn Greenstone by Hawley High School Class of 1947, Cynthia Hiris by Fred Hiris, Dorothy Hunt by Bill and Thelma Dewar, Andrea Nalesnik by Rev. and Mrs. Martin L. Cox, Christine and William Stewart by Mr. and Mrs. Alan Highhouse, Arthur D. Sullivan by Rita and Neil Wischerth, Howard B. Wentz Jr. by Dick and Mary Anne Teeter and Donald MacClean Mercereau by Lorraine and Skip Gregory.

Nilsen on his Birthday by Joan Nilsen, Jasmin Fish on Her First Birthday by Sharon Fish, Pearl Shugard on her 95th Birthday by Fred Hiris, Their Grandchildren Leila and Joshua Katz by Marcia and Henry Storch, Her Grandchildren Emelia, Nathan, and Anabelle Fish by Sharon Fish, and Terry Slotter by The Book Group including Barbara Briden, Carolyn Santiso, Karen Lutz, Liz Hooper, and Stephanie Savage.
