HONESDALE - On Wednesday, Feb. 18, Buckshot Jenkins and Ron Penska will be leading another Acoustic Bluegrass Jam will be at The Cooperage, located at 1030 Main Street in Honesdale from 7-10 p.m.

If you are a red hot picker, singer or songwriter, Acoustic Bluegrass Jam is a great way to strut your stuff.

You’ll find a slew of talented musicians here each month. Not a musician? The evening is fun for listeners as well.

All musicians and audience are invited to attend.

Bluegrass is a form of American roots music within the country music genre. Its roots are actually found in Irish, Scottish, Welsh and English folk music with later influence coming from the music of African-Americans through the incorporation of jazz.

All instruments will be welcome, but please leave your amps at home. This Bluegrass Jam will be entirely acoustic.

The Cooperage is looking at it as a special opportunity for all of you closeted ‘pickers’ out there to hook up, have great time, and to make some great music together.

This is a donation based event and contributions are appreciated. The event is BYOB.

The Cooperage is operated by the The Cooperage Project, a not-for-profit organization that seeks to build community through performance, learning and good times.
