James T. Graham, President of Graham Public Relations (GPR) announced today that ‘The Vault Tap and Kitchen’, 301 North Main Avenue, Scranton, will be the setting for the first public fundraiser for the Cpl. Bryon K. Dickson II Memorial Fund on Saturday Sept. 27, from 5pm to 2am.
A $10 dollar donation at the door will include free pizza and wing bar, plus $1 from every drink sold on this day will be contributed to the fund, all proceeds will benefit and go directly to the ‘Cpl. Bryon K. Dickson II Memorial Fund’.
Eric Shrive, one of the founding partners and owners of The Vault stated, “A few months ago when we opened The Vault, we knew we would be able to help the community by holding fundraisers and charity events within our newly remodeled building, in the face of this tragedy we could not imagine not helping help this family who lost both a husband, and father, to two small children.
"A fund has already been set up by the State Police; we are simply looking to put dollars in it. We hope the public comes out to support this very worthwhile cause.”
“Eric approached me and asked me if I could help promote this event, he didn’t have to ask twice,” added James Graham, president of Graham Public Relations. “As a part time Police Officer, I know what the men and women of law enforcement do on a daily basis and how hard it is to lose one of our own, especially in this cowardly manner.
"The response and support for this event thus far from the law enforcement community has been tremendous, I am hoping the public comes out to support it as well in memory of Cpl. Dickson.”
Patrons will also be able to buy ‘PSP Strong’ T-shirts at this event which are in very high demand; the public may also donate a gift basket by contacting Michelle Romanaskas at (570) 446-9290.
