HONESDALE - The Wayne County Historical Society is thrilled to announce that Jerry Land Jewelers, 901 Main Street in Honesdale, will sponsor a Diamonds are Forever Champagne Diamond Chance at the WCHS’s Let it Ride with the Stourbridge Lion event.

The event will be held at the Beach Lake Fire Hall on Saturday, Sept. 27 from 7:30-10:30 p.m.   The chance to win a stunning diamond from Jerry Land Jewelers will be available at the event only.

Each chance will be $20 which includes a glass of champagne. Only 50 glasses will be sold and the proceeds benefit the Wayne County Historical Society.

To participate in the Diamonds Are Forever Chance, guests will purchase a glass of champagne.

A pouch tied to the glass the guest chooses will contain either the diamond or a cubic zirconia stone mirroring the size and shape of the diamond.

All chance takers must go to Jerry Land Jewelers at 901 Main Street in Honesdale after the event to see if their stone is the diamond or the zirconia. No refunds or exchanges will be allowed.

Jerry Land Jewelers is family owned and operated and currently in its second generation.

The business was started by Jerry Land in 1975 and is continued by his children Amy and William.

The building housing Jerry Land Jewelers has been occupied by jewelers since 1856.

It was home to Chaz Peterson Jewelers, followed by Butler’s Jewelry and Spencer’s Jewelry before the Land family became a permanent fixture on Main Street. Their sponsorship for this event is valued at $2,250.

Tickets for Let it Ride with the Stourbridge Lion are $50 and may be purchased by stopping in at the Historical Society, 810 Main St. in Honesdale, or calling 570-253-3240 to reserve tickets on the phone with your credit card.

In addition to the Diamonds are Forever Champagne Chance, the night will also feature prizes donated by local businesses (such as The French Manor, Woodloch Pines, Apple Day Spa, Honesdale Garage Mix Candy, and many more.), beverages, Hors d’ oeuvres and of course an exciting evening of fun with cards and horseracing while raising money for the Historical Society.

Business casual is encouraged. A sense of fun and adventure is required. Remember…what happens in Beach Lake stays in Beach Lake!
