- On Saturday in Blooming Grove Township, a Fed Ex driver/delivery man was robbed while making a delivery.
After making a delivery, the driver returned to his truck when he was approached by the accused, Jimmy Colon, Jr., 36 of Elmsford, N.Y. and a 17-year-old male from New York, N.Y., one of which was holding a gun.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police report, the accused demanded the victim "give them his wallet and open the truck doors or they would kill him."
The victim complied and the accused took several Fed Ex packages out of the delivery truck. Among these packages including, but not limited to, two flat screen televisions.
Both men fled the scene on Route 6 in their vehicle.
Troopers located the vehicle traveling on SR 402 and were able to stop it on SR 739. The accused were taken into custody.
A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in locating the stolen packages from the Fed Ex truck.
Colon was charged with the following: Robbery, Criminal Conspiracy, Theft by Unlawful Taking and Receiving Stolen Property.
He was arranged by Magistrate Deborah Fisher, who set his bail at $125,000.
Colon was unable to post bail and was committed to the Pike County Jail.
The juvenile was charged with the following: Robbery, Criminal Conspiracy, Theft by Unlawful Taking, Receiving Stolen Property, Terroristic Threats, Possession of an Instrument of Crime, Recklessly Endangering, Simple Assault, DUI and Reckless Driving.
He was committed to a juvenile detention center.
