Fans at Paupack Lanes saw several outstanding performances this past week in league bowling action...

Honesdale's Scott Bates has been bowling for well over a decade and he has done nothing but improve with each passing year.

Last Friday night during the Wayne Commercial League, Mount Bates erupted for the first time this season...firing his first honor score of the season. Scott recorded scores of 277, 258 and for  an 814 series.

Ironically, upon his arrival at the lanes, he stopped inside Strike Ir rich Pro Shop to visit with Michael Markis, who asked Scott to try out a new ball he had drilled for himself.

At first apprehensive, Scott soon realized that the decision was a good one, as he fired 10 of the 12 strikes in the first game.

On Friday Night, Dingmans Bridge sponsored a team this year and that team is making waves.

Sitting in first place, the team bowled Splits-R-Us this past Friday evening, too late for publication however. They look to maintain their first place standing heading into a position round next week.

Last week, during the Big Money $howdown League, Hawley's Michael Markis rolled his first perfect game of the new season. Markis concluded the night with a 741 series.

This past week, Pete Rambone lead the men's scores with a 279 game in Penn-York League action while becky Decker lead the women with a 225 game during the Big

Money $howdown League.
Joe Sutton, Hawley, had a score of honorable mention with a 278 game in the Atlantic City League.
