A case of road rage in Pike County has landed one man in jail and another in the hospital with severe head injuries after being struck with a sword.

According to a report by Trooper Michael Mulvey of the Blooming Grove state police barracks, at about 8 p.m. Tuesday a call came in reporting someone struck in the head with a sword.

Upon further investigation, troopers discovered that the incident stemmed from a case of road rage in which Joseph Lisco Jr., 52 of Saw Creek Estates in Bushkill was confronted near his home by three other males; two of whom were armed with a baseball bat and a box cutter.

Lisco allegedly came out of his house swinging a 26-inch sword.

He is alleged to have struck 21 year-old Anthony Cangemi in the head and leg with his blade before turning his ire on a vehicle, striking it multiple times.

Cangemi was taken to an unnamed hospital with a severe head injury, Mulvey reports.
Lisco was charged with Aggravated Assault and related offenses and was jailed in lieu of $50,000 bail.

Charges will also be filed against the other three actors at the scene.
