McCollum's Paintless Dent Repair ran roughshod over its competition this spring in Western Wayne Little League action. The Rookie Division's top team won 13 straight games and outscored the opposition by a staggering margin of 138-28.

McCollum Paintless Dent Repair sponsors one of the region’s top youth baseball teams...a team that’s flown under the radar all season long.

Until now.

McCollum’s Wayne County business is based in Lake Ariel and the team it supports plays in the Western Wayne Little League.

Under the watchful eyes of coaches Kevin Tetreault, Kevin Peet and John Jones, this talented collection of youngsters ran roughshod over its competition this year. McCollum’s reeled off 13 straight wins en route to an undefeated Rookie Division season.

“I really liked working with these kids,” Coach Tetreault said. “They’re a great group.  We worked hard to improve and had a lot of fun along the way. The parents were pretty amazing, too.”

On the Diamond
The Western Wayne Little League’s Rookie Division season began on April 30 and concluded June 17.

McCollum’s put together a dominating campaign, outscoring the opposition by a staggering margin of 138-28. That’s an average score of 14-2.

While every player on the roster contributed to this success, a trio of talented young sluggers led the way. Ezra Tetreault, Tyler Peet and Jason Jones combined to put up some serious numbers at the plate.

Tetreault played first base and batted in the lead-off slot. Ezra compiled a team-best .923 on-base percentage and scored 34 runs in just 13 games. Perhaps most impressively, Tetreault didn’t whiff once in 41 at-bats.

Peet patrolled shorstop and held down the clean-up spot. Tyler’s on-base percentage was a robust .868. He hammered a homer and tallied 25 times over the course of the season.

Jones manned the Hot Corner and also provided clutch plate appearances. Jason’s on-base percentage topped out at .868 and he scored 24 runs.

“Those three kids played for us last season and they were all-stars,” said Coach Tetreault. “They did a great job for us.”

Sealing the Deal
McCollum’s biggest win of the season came in its final ballgame.

In this battle with a scrappy Charcoal Chuck’s squad, the local lads closed out their perfect season by posting a 6-0 decision.

The game was scoreless into the third inning when McCollum’s finally broke through with a 3-run rally.

Tetreault, Jones & George Johnson each scored a run, while Peet collected an RBI.
Charcoal Chuck’s didn’t allow another tally until the bottom of the fifth when McCollum’s sealed the deal with another 3-run uprising.

Tetreault, Jones & Johnson scored the runs, while Peet provided the big bop.

“I’m very proud of all our players,” Coach Tetreault said. “Some of them had never played organized base ball until this year. They did a great job”

This year’s McCollum roster includes: Ezra Tetreault, Logan Justice, Tyler Peet, Jason Jones, George Johnson, Kaila Johnson, Colin Gisinger, Brandon Strackbein, Shania Pensak, Liam Lidy, Dylan Griffith and Jagger Gale.
