Non-denominational, multi-cultural

SENIOR PASTOR:
Pastor Rudolph Bolling
Has been pastoring for 13 years. Brand new charge as a senior pastor. Was an associate pastor for Shawnee Tabernacle and Pocono Community Church.

PASTOR’S QUOTE:
“We’re a church that we welcome all to come out. I think you would find that we’re a really exciting church. Our basic mission is to make leaders in the community, to help people to grow in Christ and to have a entrepreneurship attitude where people can start making money. Basically, we want to help people own their own business, buy their own land and things like that.”

GRAND REOPENING:
1 Living Hope Community Church is opening the doors to its new location on Saturday at 36 Sterling Road in Sterling.
“The exciting thing about this is we’re going into this property that has been vacant maybe for some 14 years,” said Pastor Rudolph Bolling. “Originally, back in 1996, it was called the Cherrywood Fun Park. It only lasted about six months. It’s a 14,000 square foot building” on a 5-acre property. They bought the building for $500,000.
For the past 2 1/2 years, the congregation had been meeting at the Wallenpaupack South Elementary School auditorium/ cafeteria and the Green Dreher Fire Hall during the summer.

FUTURE YOUTH CENTER:
“We’re opening up a daycare and we’re also looking to open up a youth center where all of the youth can come, like a YMCA or a Girls Club/Boys Club,” Pastor Bolling said.
“We have a heart for our youth and we see an influx of inner city children and families coming into the Poconos. And the Poconos aren’t actually prepared for the influx. Our motto is: if you give us 100 kids, we’ll show you 100 leaders. Basically, a lot of our kids now are getting into drugs and sex and alcohol and gangs; and so, we want to turn that around, and turn their minds towards the positive where they can be doctors and lawyers and preachers and teachers, gear them towards the positive where they can be somebody.
