The Board of Directors of the Wayne Pike Chapter of the American Red Cross and Regional CEO, Robert Cherundolo, has announced the appointment of Ashley Starnes as the Executive Director of the Wayne Pike Chapter. Having served as the Director of Health and Safety and Blood Services Manager of the Wayne Pike Chapter for the past 3 years, Miss Starnes succeeds Trish Tyler-Davis, who retired after 6 years with the Chapter.

Starnes brings extensive public relations and management experience to her new appointment. With a Bachelor of Science in Journalism/Public Relations from West Virginia University, Miss Starnes knows the importance of effective and on-going relationship building for nonprofit organizations. According to Robert Cherundolo, Regional CEO, “Since 2008, Ashley has had the opportunity to create and maintain relationships that are vital to the Wayne Pike Chapter.” “I have had the pleasure of meeting the great people of our community at the local blood drives, health fairs and through the health and safety programs that our chapter offers,” says Miss Starnes. “I look forward to continuing to build and develop positive, effective relationships with the residents and business leaders of Wayne and Pike Counties.”

A resident of Lake Ariel for the past 17 years, Miss Starnes resides in The Hideout with her 13 year old son Taber and her 10 year old daughter Emma, both students of the Western Wayne School District, their German shepherd, Annie and one fat cat named Angel. Miss
