T’was the night before Christmas

And nobody was stirring, not

even the cat

We were all snuggled together

waiting for Santa

Then we heard a thump

on the roof

Santa had landed

As he scampered down the

chimney.

Our treats awaited him:

Egg nog, hot chocolate and

his favorite cookies

By this time, we were

dreaming of our presents

Next morning, our treats

were gone

And so was Santa

He left us a beautiful

array of presents, as usual

This time, he left us

something different

A baby’s crib with a

note attached

Saying, “Remember the

real reason I’m here

I represent the Christ- Child

who gave you His presence

So I can give you His children

His presents.
