State Police reports for 8/30

A Wayne County bar was cited by the Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement for providing services to patrons after allotted drinking hours.

The Dutchman, located on Route 507, Main Street, in Gouldsboro, was cited after patrons were allowed to consume alcohol after the 2:30 a.m., on July 24.

State Police in Blooming Grove filed the following:
• An incident occurred early Tuesday morning at Costa’s Family Fun Park in Lackawaxen Twp., Pike County.

Police say an unknown number of persons entered the property of Costa’s and smashed a window to the ticket sales office, causing an alarm to sound. They then fled the scene.

Anyone with information is asked to contact State Police in Blooming Grove at (570) 226-5718. The investigating officer is Tpr. Mark Pajalich.

• State Police are investigating the theft of a 2007 Honda Civic, which was stolen, abandoned and then later recovered by police.

Police say the vehicle was parked in front of the owner’s residence on German Hill Road in Shohola Twp., Pike County, and was stolen sometime overnight between Sunday and Monday. The vehicle was recovered by police on Monday on state Route 434, approximately one mile east of German Hill Road.

Anyone with information is asked to contact State Police in Blooming Grove at (570) 226-5718. The investigating officer is Tpr. Kevin Varcoe.

State Police in Honesdale filed the following:
• A man has been charged in connection with a harassment incident over the weekend.

Police say Danile James Card, 47, of Damascus, was intoxicated at a party late Saturday evening, and for an unknown reason struck Joseph Mann, 20, of Honesdale, in the face while attempting to take Mann’s car keys from him.

Mann told police that he was not intoxicated at the time. He suffered a broken tooth.

Charges were filed with Magistrate Ronald Edwards.

• State Police cited four individuals after responding to a report of fighting at the Wayne County Fair on Aug. 14.

Leroy Catania, 25, of Forest City; Charles Catania, 27, of Forest City; and Hank DeGraw, 42, of Honesdale, were cited for disorderly conduct.

Billy DeGraw, 31, of Huguenot, N.Y., was charged with disorderly conduct and harassment.
The investigating officer was Tpr. Michael Jezercak.

The following accident report was filed by State Police in Honesdale:
• An accident occurred on Aug. 7, on Route 191 in Salem Twp., Wayne County.

According to police, the accident occurred as a vehicle, driven by Michele Dickson, 25, of Lake Ariel, was traveling southbound behind a vehicle driven by Viktor Moroz, 45, of Lake Ariel.

Moroz stopped in the roadway and was rear-ended by Dickson. Moroz said he hit the brakes as two dogs ran across the roadway in front of his vehicle.

Dickson told police she did not see Moroz’s vehicle stop because she was watching a vehicle to the left of the roadway, which she thought might pull out without looking.

Dickson, Moroz and his two passengers were wearing seat belts and reported no injuries.

Traffic control was provided by Lake Ariel VFD.

The investigating officer was Tpr. Jamison Warner.

The following was filed by the State Police in Dunmore:
• The State Police are investigating two incidents involving the theft of construction tools in Lackawanna County.

One theft occurred in the late evening between Friday and Monday in Mountain Laural Village in Moscow.

The other theft occurred on Monday morning on Jubilee Road, Madison Township. Construction tools that were located on the outside of the victim’s residence were stolen.
