The cold weather is coming, but Ehrhardt’s Waterfront Banquet Center once again offers area residents a way to warm up this Friday with belly laughs courtesy of Souls Joel Productions.
“Soul” Joel Richardson, host of The Comedy Point radio show, has brought his own brand of comedy and that of two other nationally known comics to Ehrhardt’s a few nights each year for laughter on the lake.
“We’ve been doing this for about 15 or 16 years,” says Ehrhardt’s owner Eric Erhardt, “And we always have a good turnout. It’s always a lot of fun; just good fun entertainment for the local community. I’m looking forward to letting people take some time after the holidays to just come, relax and have a few good laughs.”
This time around, Joel will be accompanied by Josh Spear, who has been featured on the CBS Early Show and TLC’s The Little Couple and is the current emcee at the New York City comedy club Caroline’s on Broadway.
Friday’s headliner will be Chris Monte, a rising star in the comedy world doing shows in Las Vegas and at the Borgota Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City.
Monte has also been featured in a number of movies and plays, is a member of two improvisational comedy groups, has co-hosted two radio shows and was once a writer for Joan Rivers.
Ehrhardt’s Comedy Night kicks off at 9 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 13. Doors open at 8 p.m.
