Under the direction of Supervisors David Petrosky and Marlene Beavers, Covington Township will be holding its annual Memorial Day Service on Monday, May 25 at the police station on Route 435 in Daleville. The service will commence at 1 p.m. and will include representatives from Covington Township, VFW Post 5207, the Girl and Boy Scouts of America, as well as local residents. Memorial Day is a time to remember those who have served our country and passed on, whether in war or otherwise. Please join us in honoring our local heroes. Refreshments will be provided after the service. This would also be a great time to drop off your care package donations of items to be sent to our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. For more information call Deborah Biondo at 842-0457.
