Defensive Dominance
The Celtics closed out an undefeated campaign with a 16-6 victory over the Bullets in the Junior Division title tilt.

Coach Janine Edwards’ team went 10-0 on the year, thanks in equal parts to a suffocating defense and balanced offense. The “Green Machine” rolled to a first quarter advantage and never looked back.

Kiera Oakley gave the Celts a 4-0 lead after one period, but Jess Carney retaliated with a pair of second quarter buckets for the Bullets.

The Celtics dominated this game after intermission, though. Coach Edwards’ girls outscored the Bullets by a margin of 10-2 in the second half.

Diane Kille hammered home two third quarter baskets that gave the league champs a bit of breathing room. Jennson Gibbs then sealed the deal on a Junior Division title with four clutch fourth quarter points.

Natalie Tamblyn chipped in with four for the Celtics.
