Former Lady Hornet star Kellina Yarrish is putting the finishing touches on a stellar field hockey career.

A multi-sport standout at Honesdale High School, Yarrish has once again played a crucial role on Keystone College’s varsity squad.

Kellina is a senior who splits her time between the midfield and forward. To date, Yarrish is Keystone’s second leading scorer. She has hammered home seven goals and recorded three assists.

Without question, Yarrish’s biggest goal of the season came October 21st against Neuman University. Kellina’s clutch second half tally was the ultimate difference in a 1-0 victory.

Yarrish is one of the main reasons Keystone rolled to an unbeaten mark in regular season CSAC action. The Gians are 12-2 overall and 7-0 in league competition.

Keystone’s most recent win came Saturday morning at the expense of Rosemont. In this one, the Giants scored early & often en route to a 4-0 victory.

Yarrish and her teammates will close out the ‘09 regular season tonight against the University of Scranton.

The Giants have earned a #1 seed in this year’s CSAC tournament, which begins next Wednesday in Scranton.
