When Trevin Jaggars played baseball at Honesdale, he developed into one of the Lackawanna League’s top defensive shortstops.
According to officials at Major League Baseball, Jaggars has been named a finalist in this year’s “MLB Fan Cave” contest. In order to participate, Trevin had to write an essay, send in a resume and create an original video...all detailing why he should be chosen to live in the “Fan Cave” this summer.
The Fan Cave is a 15,000 square foot multi media center located in New York City. There, two lucky baseball fans will watch all 2,430 games this season and chronicle their experience...which sounds like baseball Nirvana for a diehard like Jaggars.
“I’m a pretty passionate baseball fan,” Trevin told TWI Sports. “I love the Orioles and Cal Ripken Jr. is my all-time favorite player. I’m also the only Baltimore fan left in the contest this year.”
There were more than 20,000 submissions in all and Trevin’s video has made the Final 50. Next week, the field will be whittled down to 30...and each of those finalists will be flown to Spring Training in Arizona.
Trevin is the son of Robert Jaggars, Karen & Jeff Corrigan, Honesdale. If you’d like to vote for his MLB Fan Cave video, please visit MLB.com or check out his Facebook page. Vote early & vote often so Trevin can make his dream come true!
