Former Wallenpaupack Area standout Rich Palazzi is continuing his gridiron career at Susquehanna University this fall.
A sophomore secondary education/history major, Palazzi led the Crusaders to a wild 35-30 win over Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute last Saturday afternoon at Amos Alonzo Stagg Field in Selinsgrove.
With this victory, Susquehanna upped its overall record to 5-2. The Crusaders are 3-1 in Liberty Conference action.
Susquehanna will be back on the gridiron this Saturday for an away game at St. Lawrence. Opening kick-off or this contest is slated for 1:00 p.m.
On the Field
Palazzi was sidelined for the past two weeks by an injury, but returned in top form.
Rich hit 17-of-24 passes for 225 yards and a pair of touchdowns. His favorite target was senior split end JJ Moran, who caught six balls for 102 yards.
To date, Palazzi has completed 72-of-115 attempts, good for 981 yards and nine TDs.
