To the Editor:
Have you received your tax bill for 2007? Are they kidding? A 35%-plus tax hike. Who are these people we elected and who do they represent? Looks like greedy politicians, sweetheart deals and gas companies are the order of the day here in Damascus Township and Wayne County PA.
These people do not deserve our support and should not be re-elected to public office. They clearly aren't representing the people and this behavior cannot continue. These actions are not justified and should be strongly opposed. We can't just sit around and let these people make these decisions which will adversely affect our environment and cripple our pocketbooks especially during a recession when people are losing their homes to foreclosure and property values will be destroyed because of the gas drilling.
This is unacceptable. I strongly suggest everyone contact their elected officials and complain.
