Beach Lake, Pa. - To the Editor:
Here we go again . WH school taxes going up 3.75 % !" County taxes are going up!!! Retiree pensions remain the same!
Sound familier? 1 won't even get into fuel prices. I will mention Gov. Rendell’s phony property tax relief that depends on gambling. It is garbage. The school and county taxe rate hike erased all of that so called relief. What a joke.
What we need and what we must demand is the end of all school property taxes. What would you do with the average $1500.00 you would save by the elimination of all school property taxes? Home fuel? Gasoline? Food?
We MUST act NOW. Contact your local rep's and demand they get off their butts and vote for House Bill 1275.
This bipartisan, pro-growth plan seeks to replace all school property taxes and other local nuisance taxes by maintaining the current 6 percent sales tax and expanding it to include services. All residential homecwoers would immediately benefit from the implementation of this plan.
Thank you!
