To the Editor:
This letter is about Wayne Highlands School Board. I myself and other people I talk to don’t like all the money you are wasting on this football field. Oil is high and times are tough. That money could have been used for heating the school building and electric use. The old football field would have been good enough (in) these hard times. It is only in use a few nights in the fall of the year.
One other year, you guys even wanted nearly a quarter of a million dollar hot dog and soda stand for the soccer field. Hot dog and soda stands are made of 2 x 4 and 2 x 6 plywood and roofing.
I myself, and talking to other people, we do not like the way you guys are giving the teachers free health insurance. They should be made to pay on their health insurance as I hear the teachers in Lancaster County pay on their health insurance, because I have relations that live down there and when they was up to see me, they told me about it.
Wayne Highlands, get on the ball and freeze the teacher’s wages and make them pay on their health insurance.
