HONESDALE -

David Lee Mason, a 23-year resident of Rowlands, PA, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, NY. He was 56.
The son of the late Allyn Leroy Mason and Ann Katherine Gugel Mason, he was born on January 26, 1952 in Falls City, NB. He spent his childhood in Queens, NY. He was married to Laurel Tellefsen Mason on September 29, 1984 in Rowlands, PA.
A quiet, shy, reflective man who loved his family, the environment and the world, he was passionate about tolerance and justice. He was his wife and daughters’ best friend and hero. He loved to travel and ride his bicycle and motorcycle along the river to watch eagles and herons. He was always ready to help and assisted anyone who asked.
Survivors include his wife; his mother; two daughters, Diana Hope Mason of Rowlands, PA and Keri Reich of New Port Richey, FL; two sons, David and Christopher Mason of New York; two brothers, Allyn Mason of Allentown, PA and Steven Mason of Elmont, NY; one godchild, Any Jeanne Tellefsen; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held at the Upper Delaware Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in Beach Lake, PA. Minister Laurie Stuart officiated. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Bud Rue Walk for Social Justice-UDUUF, P.O. Box 136, Lackawaxen, PA 18435.
