Eugene E. Miller, 62, a resident of Lakeville, Pa., a former resident of Scranton died Tuesday evening, February 12, 2008, in the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He and his wife the former Ann Vince would have celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary May 9th.
He was born in Scranton, the son of the late Eugene L. and Gertrude A. Murray Miller. He was a member of the BVM Queen Of Peace Roman Catholic Church, Hawley, a graduate of South Catholic High School, South Scranton and Lackawanna Junior College where he received a degree in accounting. He was a Vietnam Veteran serving with the US Army and prior to his illness he was employed by the Bell Telephone Company.
He enjoyed traveling, fishing and lived life to its fullest.
Also surviving are a brother, Robert L. Miller and his wife Shirley, Queencreek, AZ, an aunt, cousins, nieces and nephews.
The Funeral will be Saturday with Mass at 10:00 a.m. in the BVM Queen Of Peace Roman Catholic Church, 319 Chestnut Avenue, Hawley. Those attending the Funeral Mass are asked to go directly to the church. Interment will follow in Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhust.
Friends may call on Friday 4 to 8 p.m. in the Miller Bean Funeral Home, Inc., 436 Cedar Avenue, Scranton.
