Vote turnout across Wayne County, Pa., Tuesday, stood at 31.10 percent, with 9,869 out of 31,729 registered voters, turning out. In other words, Tuesday’s victories and losses were decided by just under a third of the registered electorate.
Examination of preliminary ballot counts supplied by the Wayne County Bureau of Elections, shows that turnout peaked at 68.11 percent in very-civic minded Starrucca Borough. There were 94 out of 138 registered voters at the polls, even though there was no municipal contest on the ballot.
The low point went to Lake Township, at 19.57 percent, though they have the most registered voters of any of the 365 precincts. There were 669 voters at the polls, out of 3,417 registered. There also was no municipal contest at Lake.
