Trust fund established for Bond family

A trust fund for the family of Pastor Jim Bond has been set up at the Honesdale National Bank.
 

Bond died Tuesday of Ewing’s Sarcoma, a rare form of cancer. He is survived by his wife, Merrily, and three children ages 5, 14 and 18.
 

Donations can be made at any Honesdale National Bank branch to the James Bond Family Trust.
 

Bond was an assistant pastor at Canaan Bible Chapel and a teacher at Canaan Christian Academy.
 

Bond kept a blog of his fight with cancer, www.thehokeypokeyplace.blogspot.com, which was read by more than 30,000 people.
 

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Canaan Bible Chapel.
