Honesdale woman charged in alleged break-in

Honesdale Borough Police were contacted March 7 by a 46-year-old woman of Honesdale, who reported that her ex-girlfriend allegedly had broken into her apartment and refused to leave when asked. 
The victim stated an argument had ensued, and her ex-girlfriend, 43-year-old Sharon Lyons of Honesdale, began breaking her belongings.
The victim also informed police that she had an active Protection From Abuse order against Lyons.
Officers responded to the victim’s residence and found Lyon’s inside along with the damaged property.
Lyons was placed under arrested and charged with indirect criminal contempt, defiant trespass, criminal trespass and criminal mischief.  Lyons was arraigned in front of Magistrate Farrell who set bail at $10,000.00.  Lyons was remanded to the Wayne County Correctional Facility after she (Lyons) was unable to set bail.
