Chris Hackett, Republican candidate for the 10th Congressional District, has accepted the offer made by The Wayne Independent, for a debate with incumbent Congressman Chris Carney. Publisher Steve Fountain publicly challenged them to a campaign debate in an "open letter" published in Friday's edition. The letter was also faxed to the offices of both Congressman Carney and Hackett.
There has not yet been a response received from Congressman Carney, who is seeking re-election November 4th on the Democratic ticket.
