Pa. State Police at Honesdale are currently investigating a burglary that occurred March 3rd at a residence near Smokin’ Joe’s, SR 191, Buckingham Twp., in northern Wayne County.
The burglar appeared to have cased the residence from a driveway across the road, and then broke into the residence when the homeowner left.
The burglar parked in the victim’s driveway, forcefully entered the residence, and removed a large JVC Television, jewelry and medication. The burglar then fled the scene toward Starlight.
The burglar is believed to be a male operating a compact vehicle, that would have been at the residence between 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Anyone with possible information is requested to contact Pa State Police-Honesdale at (570)253-7126.
