TV, Wii, paintball swiped

 The Honesdale Police department is investigating a burglary from a residence at 105 West 11th  Street. The victim reported between 3:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. on July 1st, someone forced open his back door and removed items from his home.
A flat screen TV, a Nintendo Wii game system, four Nintendo Wii games and two paintball guns was taken from his residence. Anyone who may have seen anything suspicious or who may know anything about this case is asked to call the Honesdale Police at (570)253-1900. Ptlm. Kominski is investigating.
    Honesdale area crashes

On Friday July 3rd Honesdale Police responded to a two vehicle crash on Grandview Avenue in front of the Honesdale Greenhouse.
A 1991 Oldsmobile being operated by 45 year old Alana Miszler, of Hawley, was pulling out of a parking lot. Miszler did not see the 1996 Saturn, being operated by 66 year old Kenneth Ferrer, traveling east on Grandview Avenue. Miszler pulled into the path of Ferrer causing a collision.
Miszler was cited for section 3324 of the PA Vehicle Code, Vehicles entering or crossing roadways.
No injuries were reported to Miszler, her passenger or Ferrer. Both vehicles were towed from the scene by Northeast Towing. Honesdale EMS, Honesdale Fire Department and Honesdale Fire Police assisted on the scene.
On 10th Street
On Thursday July 2nd Honesdale Police were called to 10th Street for a two car collision. A 2008 Audi being driven by 65 year old Marsha Goldstein of Lake Ariel, was backing down 10th Street. A 1995 Lincoln being operated by 18 year old Thomas Gilligan Jr, of Honesdale, was driving down 10th Street, when Goldstein’s vehicle back into him. No injuries were reported to the operators or the passengers in the vehicles.
Goldstein was cited for Section 3702(a) of the PA Vehicle code, Limitations on Backing.
