Mount Pleasant Township Supervisors received a letter from Tim Hanson of the Tennessee Gas Pipeline on June 1, thanking them for their assistance in investigating road right of way widths for their upcoming 300L project, and requesting an application and additional information.
The 300L project is Tennessee Gas Pipeline Company’s (a subsidiary of El Paso Corporation) plan to increase the capacity of its 300 line. Interested parties can track the project at www.elpaso.com “They’ve been very open,” said supervisor Albert Wildenstein at the July Township meeting. “I don’t think it’s going to be as bad as people think.”
A letter was sent to Kirk Schweighofer from township attorney David Bianco’s office on behalf of Mount Pleasant supervisors regarding a complaint on a 9.25-acre parcel owned by the Tyler Hill resident. The letter states: “A subsequent visual inspection of your property discloses that there has been an excessive accumulation of junk cars and debris. There are also reports of the leaking of substances on the neighboring properties.” According to the letter this violates nuisance and junkyard ordinances. The supervisors have given Mr. Schweighofer 15 days from June 23 to clean up the mess before legal action is taken.
