Burglars hit Gouldsboro residence

Burglars sacked a residence in Gouldsboro on Monday.
The victim, a 73-year old woman, had her jewelry lifted along with a box of blank checks, state police Honesdale barracks reported.
They forced entry, then also grabbed her wedding ring, earrings, and necklaces.
The theft on Main Street occurred between 12:45 p.m. and 4 p.m.
Anyone with information pertaining to this incident should contact state trooper John Chervanka of the Honesdale barracks at (570) 253-7126.

State Police also reported the following crimes:

• A White Mills woman faces a harassment charge after allegedly punching another White Mills woman in the face. Sandra Ann Graham, 36, was arguing with her boyfriend when the 51-year old woman she punched tried to intervene in the argument, state police Honesdale barracks reported.
It was then that Graham allegedly hit her in the left side of the face. The incident occurred at about 1:15 a.m., last Monday.

• State Police arrested a 50-year old Hawley man for DUI last Saturday, November 8, after he fled the scene of a domestic dispute he was involved in. His name will not be released because charges have not been filed in district court.

 •State Police took a 53-year old Lake Ariel man into custody on October 18 for suspicion of DUI. He was arrested at an entrance to the Hideout Development on Avoy Road at 9:10 p.m.

• At Dutch’s Market in Pike County, someone smashed the lock mechanism on a soda machine last Thursday, November 12, then stole all of the money inside. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the state police Blooming Grove barracks at (570) 226-5718.
