At around 2 p.m. Sunday afternoon, a Ford F-150 driving south on SR 3028 near Melody road veered off the road and impacted several trees and a large boulder before rolling over, says trooper Michael Turlip of the Honesdale state police barracks.

According to Turlip’s report, the occupants of the truck fled before he arrived on the scene, but showed up in the emergency room of Wayne Memorial Hospital an hour and a half later, where they were determined to be the occupants of the truck.

The operator of the truck, Brandon Burchfield, 28 of Bald Knob, A.R., was charged with illegally leaving designated lanes of travel and was arrested on suspicion of DUI. He consented to chemical testing, and will be charged pending the outcome of those tests.

Burchfield’s passenger, also from Arkansas, was Micah Osborne, also 28.
