The Honesdale “Honey Buns” are here!
In conjunction with the upcoming “Aloha Honesdale” sidewalk sales, July 21, 22 and 23, which is sponsored by The Dime Bank with support from Wayne County Tourism, fifteen very community-minded men have agreed to don coconuts and grass skirts in an effort to help the GHP raise money to have speed-minders placed on Main & Church Streets for everyone’s safety!

Voters can see all fifteen contestants side-by-side on posters and place vote for their favorite “Honey Bun” beginning today at the following voting locations:

Jeannie’s Chapel Street Salon – One Chapel Street
Finders Keepers Consignment Boutique – 903 Main Street
The Honesdale National Bank – 733 Main Street
MB’s Shear Expressions – 530 Main Street
The Kitchen Center – 301 Erie Street
Votes are $1.00 each and you may place multiple votes at $1.00 each for the same candidate on the same ballot!
Voting starts today and will end in town at NOON on Saturday, July 23. Candidates will also be soliciting votes for themselves at their place of business and anywhere else they can! You may also place your vote for any contestant at any of the business locations listed above.
The final opportunity for contestants to get votes is Saturday, July 23, at the luau hosted by the future Honesdale Skate Park Committee, to be held at J.J. Mack’s, next to the Wayne County Fairgrounds, beginning at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are only $10.00 per person (cash bar). Hawaiian fare, tropical drink specials, raffles, lots of surprises and fun.
