Spaghetti dinner benefit set
HONESDALE – A spaghetti and meatball dinner benefit for Anna Wilmot will be held at Laurel’s Coffee Grinder restaurant, 526 Main St., Honesdale, Wednesday, November 4, from 5 to 8 p.m. Anna has lung cancer and ovarian cancer.

Historical Society sets awards dinner
TAFTON – The Greene-Dreher Historical Society will host a holiday luncheon and awards ceremony on December 7 at Ehrhardt's Waterfront Restaurant. Members of the Greene-Dreher community will be recognized for their work in historic preservation. The public is invited. Cost is $17 per person. EQUINUNK – The Manchester Community Library will hold its semi-annual Election Day Take-out Chicken Dinner on Tuesday, Nov. 3rd, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Dinners include a half chicken, vegetables, baked potato, roll, and choice of desserts. The Library is located in a separate building behind the regular polling place, the Manchester Township offices, at 3879 Hancock Highway, (Rte. 191.) Preston to hold parent-teachers confrences
LAKEWOOD – School WILL NOT be in session for students in the Preston Area School on Thursday, November12, due to parent-teacher conferences.
Parent–teacher conferences will be held in the Middle School, Grades 6-8 from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Grades K-5 will have scheduled appointment times from 1 p.m.. to 4:30 p.m.. and 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. School officials hope all parents will take this opportunity to meet with their children’s teachers.

Library in Hamlin hosts book sale
HAMLIN – The Friends of the Community Library of Lake and Salem Townships is conducting a book sale on Saturday, October 31, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Bargains galore! Something for everyone! Slime Time held Oct. 31
HONESDALE – The First Presbyterian Church of Honesdale is holding Slime Time on Saturday, October 31, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Chapel. Offering games, crafts and snacks, the free event is open to all children 12 and under, accompanied by an adult.
