Burglary arrest made

Pa. State Police, Honesdale, reported the arrest Tuesday evening, Jan. 26, of Scott Thomas Fleece, for burglary and related charges.
Fleece, 27, of Equinunk, was arrested on a warrant following a burglary on Rutldgedale Road in Tyler Hill.  The homeowner reported that when he returned home he saw a white male behind his home near two broken windows to the kitchen area. The male ran to a pickup which was parked in the driveway and left. The homeowner tried to follow but was unable to keep up with it, said police.
Upon his return home, the homeowner found that items had been knocked over in the house. Money was reportedly stolen.
State Police provided a photo lineup of several men fitting the description given, and the victim positively identified the man. State Police then proceeded to the suspect’s residence and took him into custody. According to the affidavit, the defendant related that he had broken into several homes.
Fleece was charged with two felony counts of burglary, a felony of criminal trespass, and the following misdemeanors: Criminal mischief, theft and receiving stolen property.
