2012 RACE AGAINST CANCER
Shawnee on Delaware - Shawnee Mountain Ski Area and the American Cancer Society are working together to increase awareness of cancer prevention and to raise money for cancer research, education, advocacy, and patient services.
Shawnee Mountain Ski Area will be hosting its annual “Race Against Cancer” on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012.
All proceeds from this event will be donated to the Monroe Unit of the American Cancer Society in support of their mission to eliminate cancer. The 2011 event raised over $11,000 last ski season.
Skiers and snowboarders of all ages and skill levels are welcome. The race course is set on the Upper Tomahawk Race Trail; an intermediate level run. The race course is open from 10 a.m. until approximately 3 p.m.
The cost is $8.00 for 2 runs, or $15.00 for four runs on the course. A lift ticket is required.
