Did you know that up through colonial America beer was
drunk by all because it was safer to drink than water because it is boiled,
or that a good farm wife had to know how to make beer?

On Wednesday, Aug. 11 at 7 p.m., Dennis Peterson, Ph.D. will present "A
Taste of the Culture and History of Beer Making and Beer Appreciation" at
the historic Lodge at Lacawac Sanctuary.

The program will include both a presentation and a tasting to learn about the ingredients and the processing of different types of beers. The program costs $10 and is limited to the first 20 people to register.

To register, mail check to Lacawac Sanctuary, 94 Sanctuary Road, Lake Ariel,
PA 18436.

Lacawac Sanctuary is a non-profit community based organization dedicated to
preservation of the natural environment, public environmental education and
scientific research.
