On Monday, April 21 at approximately 5:06 p.m. the Honesdale Borough Police were dispatched to a report of a car vs. motorcycle crash on North Main Street.
Upon investigation it was found that 46 year old Michael Smith of Waymart was riding his 2004 Harley Davidson Motorcycle south on North Main Street when he exited the traffic lane and began to ride up the bicycle lane on the right side of the roadway.  While riding up the bicycle lane 18 year old Kristy Gelatt of Honesdale who was also heading south began to make a right hand turn onto High Street in her 2005 Jeep Liberty.  As a result the two parties collided.
Gelatt sustained no injuries.  Smith was taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital where he was treated for injuries.  Smith was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
