The Honesdale Borough Police filed charges of Theft by Unlawful Taking and Unsworn Falsification on Michele Treverton, 37 from Honesdale.
 The charges stem from an investigation into a stolen package from an apartment in Treverton’s building. During the investigation, officers interviewed Treverton who provided a written statement that she didn't take or see a package.
Information developed in the investigation however indicated that Treverton did in fact steal the package which contained three DVDs valued at approximately $60.00, according to police.
    DUI, drug charges
On August 10 at approximately 3:13 a.m. the Honesdale Borough Police arrested 30 year old Kelley Gallagher of Honesdale for DUI, possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The arrest was made after Gallagher was observed by police rear ending a parked truck while driving her 2004 Hyundai.  Officers found Gallagher to be exhibiting signs of intoxication, and administered standard field sobriety testing which she failed.  Following her arrest for DUI, Gallagher was searched and found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana and a pot pipe.
Gallagher was transported to Wayne Memorial Hospital where she consented to a blood alcohol test.  The results indicated Gallagher to have a BAC of .210%.  Charges were filed with the magistrate.
