Fugitive arrested in park

WAYNE COUNTY -

 On October 31, Honesdale Borough Police arrested Justin Miller, 18 from Tuscon AZ, for being a fugitive of justice. 
According to Police, officers confronted Miller for being disorderly in Central Park. After speaking to Miller, officers discovered that he was wanted in Arizona for dealing in stolen property. Miller was arrested, arraigned and lodged in Wayne County Prison, pending extradition.
Stealing electricity
A Greentown man, Lance Miller, age 44, was charged after allegedly hooking an extension cord to a neighboring mobile home and stealing electricity. The charge he received was in the form of “theft of services,” filed by the Pa. State Police, Blooming Grove.
The crime occurred between 5 a.m., October 25 and 2 p.m., October 30. Trooper Robert Malinowski states that Miller illegally hooked an extension cord to an electrical outlet underneath a trailer belonging to a man from Connecticut. The accused then ran the extension cord across he yards and into Miller’s bedroom window, said police.
Public drunkenness
Trooper Richard Bozym cited  Hazle Smith, 28, of Simpson with public drunkenness, Saturday, Nov. 1.  She allegedly was found lying on the ground across the street from the Fell Inn Bar. She was taken into custody and transported to the Lackawanna County Processing Center.
Bicycle recovered
The Honesdale Borough Police recovered a pink and white bicycle with a banana seat in Central Park. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Honesdale Police at 253-1900.
