The following cases were addressed February 4, 2010 by the Honorable Raymond L. Hamill, Presidemt Judge Wayne County:
• Robert John Doerwald, age 46 of Forest City was sentenced to a State Correctional Institution for 18 months to 72 months, in two separate cases, for one count of Theft By Unlawful Taking or Disposition, graded as a misdemeanor of the 3rd degree and one count of Retail Theft-Take Merchandise, graded as a felony of the 3rd degree.
The first incident occurred on August 4, 2009, in Waymart Borough when Doerwald stole DVD’s from a local convenience store. The second incident occurred on September 23, 2009, in Texas Township when Doerwald stole a cell phone form a local department store.
He was also ordered to pay all Court costs, undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation together with a mental health evaluation and comply with all recommendations for treatment, and pay restitution in the amount of $98.46.
• Glenn Alan Colby, age 47 of Beach Lake, was sentenced to a State Correctional Institution for 18 months to five years for one count of Delivery of Controlled Substance, an ungraded felony and one count of Possession of Controlled Substance, an ungraded misdemeanor. He was also ordered to pay all Court costs, restitution in the amount of $227.00, undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation together with a mental health evaluation and comply with all recommendations for treatment.
The incident occurred on May 13, 2009, and August 11, 2009, in Texas Township when Colby sold illicit drugs to a confidential informant.
• Frances Petolicchio, age 33 of Honesdale was sentenced to a State Correctional Institution for one year to five years for one count of DUI-Highest Rate, a misdemeanor of the 1st degree and one count of Endangering Welfare of Children: As Parent/Guardian, also graded as a misdemeanor of the 1st degree.
The incident occurred on August 15, 2009, in Waymart Borough when Waymart Borough Police responded to the report of an erratic driver. At that time Petolicchio had a four year old unrestrained passenger in the vehicle. Her BAC was .210%
She was also ordered to pay all Court costs, a fine in the amount of $1,500.00, undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation together with a mental health evaluation and comply with all recommendations for treatment, attend an alcohol highway safety program, and obtain full time employment upon being released from prison.
