The Honesdale Borough Council meeting will be conducted at 6 PM on November 12, 2018, in Borough Hall, 958 Main Street, Honesdale, despite being the Veteran’s Day holiday.

Public comments received Monday evening will only be for items NOT related to Gibbons Park, the star, the cross or the proposed Richard Smith Memorial.

When the meeting reconvenes on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2018, at 6 PM at Honesdale High School, 459 Terrace Street, Honesdale, in the large group instruction (LGI) room, residents may speak on the issues regarding the star, cross, Richard Smith Memorial or Gibbons Park.

The proposed ordinance was not advertised so therefore no vote will be taken on the matter.

At its October meeting Council members heard public comments in two rooms at Borough Hall to accommodate those who wished to address them.

A meeting agenda will be posted on the Borough’s website (www.honesdaleborough.com) Friday afternoon.

The meeting room at Borough Hall has 60 seats which are available for public use during a meeting.

Once the seating capacity has been reached no additional persons will be permitted in the building.

Borough Council does impose a time limit on speakers.

The time limit for November 14 will depend upon the number of those in attendance that register to speak that evening.

Comments may always be mailed, emailed, dropped off or faxed to the Borough Council.

Contact information may be found on their website.

Residents attending the November 14th meeting should use the main entrance to Honesdale High School and walk down to the first floor and across to the LGI.

Residents who have mobility issues are asked to park in the “courtyard” parking lot between the high school and middle school which has a handicap entrance next to the LGI.

Attendees may also park near the District Office and walk to the entrance next to the LGI.
