The Wayne County Community Foundation is thrilled to announce that on Friday, August 3, 2018, it will sponsor a “Day of Giving.”

The event will be held from 2-7pm at the Cooperage on Honesdale’s Main St. and showcase 12 non-profit agencies serving the people of Wayne County.

The following organizations will participate: Wayne County Public Library; the Cooperage Project; LACAWAC Sanctuary; SEEDS; Victim’s Intervention Program; Dessin Animal Shelter; Wayne County Arts Alliance; Habitat for Humanity; The Wayne County Historical Society; the Wayne County YMCA and the Wayne County Community Foundation.

At the event there will be entertainment; games, prizes, food, fun, children’s attractions; and opportunities to learn more about these great groups.

The Foundation wants to stress that all donations whatever the amount big or small are welcome…..and the Foundation will match all donations given to these groups throughout the month of August (up to $1,000).

The Day of Giving was created by the Foundation as a way to help the vital non-profit organizations serving our communities raise awareness and the much needed funds to sustain and expand their efforts.

This day encourages philanthropy in the county and demonstrates how even small gifts make a big difference to these organizations.
