The last organizational meeting is finished. Now starts the period of mild anxiety, watching the future weather reports and worrying a bit about the other things beyond our control—a mower breakdown or a delayed food delivery.
But it will be fine—in the past 18 years of the Equinunk Car Show, we had very few days with gray skies or wind. Normally, the sky is bright blue, the meadow is full of simply gorgeous vehicles, and workers plentiful. We look forward to welcoming old friends and seeing their unbelievable vehicles, knowing the work they put into getting them into such amazing shape. That work will be recognized when the prizes are called out, a People’s Choice Award and several Special Recognition honors.
Put June 16 on your calendar and bring the family for food, music, vendors, ice cream, and best of all, a stroll through the lines of marvelous vehicles, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Pine Mill Road in Equinunk, one mile south of the Equinunk Historical Society. No fee for registering your vehicle, no admission fees. Dash plaques will be awarded to the first 100 entrants. Call 570-224-6722 for more information.
